Has any of your team including ombudsman and investigators ever
attended a Common Purpose training course? If so, please list the
courses they have attended, their dates, their cost and details of
who paid for them; also Is the ombudsman a Common Purpose
'graduate'?

By 'Common Purpose', I mean the training organisation of that name:

Dear S Thom,

In response to your email 6 May 2009 , I refer you to my previous response
in that according to our records we have not arranged any training with
the organisation "Common Purpose" for any of the Ombudsman staff.

To respond to the question of whether any member of staff have attended
"Common purpose" training prior to their employment with the Public
Services Ombudsman for Wales ,

, I can confirm that we have reviewed our HR files and there is no record
of any of the Ombudsman's current staff having previously attended a
"Common Purpose" training course prior to the commencement of their
employment with the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales.

Please note that this information is based on information supplied to us
voluntarily by staff via the qualifications section on the relevant staff
application forms when they joined the organisation.

There is no obligation for any member of staff to inform us of training
courses attended which were not a specification or requirement for the
job they applied for, or to subsequently inform us of any training not
organised by us that they may have attended.
