A Freedom of Information request to Cabinet Office by Julian Todd
The request was partially successful.

7 July 2008
Dear Sir or Madam,
According to the archived pages hosted on the Cabinet Office
website, the Office of the e-Envoy was set up in September 1999.
It's demise (if it ever happened) is unclear.
Can you provide me a copy of the full accounts and budget consumed
by the OeE from its inception to the current day (or its winding
up, if this has happened) including:
* the number of civil servants working in the office, by pay-grade,
including the names and terms of the directors who served in the
Office
* the value, work done, and destination of IT work contracts made
by the Office to private sector consultants
* the expenses claimed by the officers for travel, events, and
entertainment.
Yours faithfully,
Julian Todd.
