Dear The Independent Monitoring Boards Secretariat,

Could you please release a copy of the 2009 annual report of the
Independent Monitoring Board at Oakington IRC.

In addition could you please let me know:
i/ when the IMB secretariat received a copy
ii/ when the relevant minister received a copy
iii/ why the report was not accessible via the IMB secretariat
website as of 18th June 2010.

If the report has not yet been produced could you please explain
why not and let me know when it is expected.

Last year the report was published on the IMB website 18th of May 2009, so it looks like this year's is currently overdue for publication.

I volunteered to be a member of the IMB at Oakington; one of the things I stated at interview I would do if appointed was ensure the annual report was made available to the public in a timely manner. The current IMB at Oakington see their responsibility as being to report to the Minister and not to the general public, the media, and elected representatives. They are unconcerned about delays in publishing their report.

the Independent Monitoring Boards Secretariat on 25th May 2010.

The report was distributed on 27 May 2010.

The report will not be accessible via the IMB website until the agreed
publication date of 6 July 2010.
