Dear Sir/Madam,
I refer to your request for information regarding dog breeding, which
was received on 3rd June, 2009 and has been dealt with under the Freedom
of Information Act 2000.
The specific information you requested was as follows:
1. The number of breeding bitches and stud dogs that are kennelled in
premises licensed in Carmarthenshire.
2. The number of puppies bred in licensed premises per year.
In response, I can confirm that there are currently 2,637 bitches and
523 stud dogs licensed in Carmarthenshire.
The Council does not hold recorded information as to the number of
puppies bred at licensed premises per annum.
If I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact
me.
