F. Sterling made this Freedom of Information request to British Transport Police
Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, British Transport Police should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Sir or Madam,
How many terrorists or suspected terrorists have been detained
(even for a brief period) using random searches at railway stations
under S.44 of the Terrorism Act 2000?
Yours faithfully,

Yup - we were using the general contact address as we hadn't found an FOI specific address. I've changed it to use the specific one given both in the message above, and in the source code to the HTML form at http://www.btp.police.uk/foi.htm.
It is Brian Coleman's address, which isn't ideal, we don't like using addresses which are specific people rather than general for FOI, but sometimes you have to.

Cool.
Though it's a bit scary to see BTP using form_mailer.pl like that. I wonder how much spam gets sent through that script? Should I submit a FoI request to find out? ;)

Your followup was sent to Mr. Lubin - it sends them as a reply to the message you click "Send follow up" on (I'm going to improve this interface soon as it is causing a few people problems, when I work out how it should be!).
If you click the "send follow up" link on your original message, it will send to the new address for requests. Or start a brand new request, that might be easier.
