Dear Sir or Madam,

Under the Freedom of information act please can you let me know the
number of working days lost each year for the past 10 due to
"stress, anxiety and depression"

Also please can you let me know how many employees for each were
retired on the grounds of ill-health each for the past 10 years.

Please separately state dismissals in this as well where ill health
was brought up as a factor.

Dear Sir/Madam
I am writing further to your email below.

In the attached spreadsheet we have provided details of working days lost
to stress, anxiety and depression from 1999/2000 to 2008/09 as requested.
This refers to all types of sickness absence attributed to stress, anxiety
and depression, both work and home related.

We can only provide figures from 2002/03 to 2008/09 in respect of
ill-health retirements as this data was not collected prior to this time.
We do not hold data on dismissals resulting from medical incapability.

I hope this information is useful to you, and completes your request for
information. If you are not completely satisfied with my response, please
contact me again, or write to the complaints officer at: Dorset County
Council, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester, Dorset DT1 1XJ. Or you
