Dear Greenwich Borough Council,
Please provide the following information:
1. The number of job applications for lawyer/solicitor level roles
made to the Council's Legal Department within the last 3 years.
2. The number of job applications for lawyer/solicitor level roles
made to the Council's Legal Department by Muslim males within the
last 3 years.
3. How many of the above applications by Muslim males have been
successful.
4. How many Muslim males currently work as lawyers/Solicitors for
the Council and how many have worked as lawyers/Solicitors on a
yearly basis over the last 3 years.
5. Has the Council ever looked at the above as an issue of concern
and at what level in the Council's corporate structure was it
considered.
If the above data is not available for the period of 3 years then
please provide it for the period for which it is available.

Dear Greenwich Borough Council,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of
Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Greenwich Borough
Council's handling of my FOI request 'Number of Muslim males
working as lawyers.'.
This request has been unduly delayed and no explanation offered as
to the reasons for delay.

Dear Mr Khan,
I write further to your email communication dated 21^st June 2010, in
which you asked for the following information:
1. "Number of job applications for lawyer/solicitor level roles made to
the Councils legal department in the last 3 years"
The Council's legal department received a total of 28 applications
from July 2007 - June 2010 in response to a total of 5 recruitment
advertising campaigns for lawyers undertaken within this period.
You have also asked for the following additional information:
2. "Number of job applications for lawyer/solicitor level roles made
to the Councils legal department by Muslim males in the last 3 years"
I can confirm that of the 28 applications received during this 3 year
period there were no applications received by men who declared themselves
as being of the Muslim faith.
3. "How many of the above applications by Muslim males have been
successful?"
Not applicable
4. "How many Muslim males currently work as lawyers/solicitors for
the Council and how many have worked as Lawyer/Solicitors on a yearly
basis over the last 3 years"?
We do not hold this information.
5. Has the Council ever looked at the above as an issue of concern
and at what level in the Councils corporate structure was it considered.
