This is a typical response when they don't want to disclose information that is embarrassing. I know that quite a few MPs wrote to the council to enquire/complain about the motorcycle parking tax, but of course, the council is reluctant to say so.

It's in my opinion totally unacceptable that the council doesn't keep records of MP correspondence, it simply shows that they don't take what MPs say into consideration.

I would go back and ask why they don't keep records of correspondence with MPs, who represent the public interest. And the fact that they have advised that 1 MP wrote to the council about a PCN shows that somehow, the council keeps some records!

questions Councillor Danny Chalkley has received from MP's
regarding
the introduction of the motorcycle parking tax since it's
