Please supply me with the following figures:

1. Number of electively home educated children known to your LA in
academic year 2008-09.

2. Number of electively home educated children who have a
protection plan in place due to neglect or abuse.

3. Total number of all children in your LA.

4. Total number of children who have a protection plan in place due
to neglect or abuse.

Dear Ms Daley

Thank you for your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. We
have now considered your request and can supply you with the following
information.

You have requested:
1. Number of electively home educated children known to your LA in
academic year 2008-09.

2. Number of electively home educated children who have a
protection plan in place due to neglect or abuse.

3. Total number of all children in your LA.

4. Total number of children who have a protection plan in place
due to neglect or abuse.

1. There are 104 home educated children known to Brent in the
academic year 2008/09.

2. There are no electively educated children who have a protection
plan due to neglect or abuse.

3. There are 48,857 0-14 year olds and 38,869 15-24 year olds in
the borough of Brent (2001 National Census).

4. Brent currently has 209 children subject to child protection
plans due to neglect or abuse.
