Dear Sir or Madam,

Can you please advise of the amount (either in 'number' of
individal loans or as a total capital amount) of Student Loans
awarded in respect of courses commencing Pre August 1998 that have
been cancelled as a consequence of the 'loanholder' reaching either
50 or 60 years of age and the loan(s) being eligible/appropriate
for cancellation.

With reference to my recent request under the Freedom of
information Act ('Number of cancelled pre-August 1998 loans'), I

should have replied by the 16th March 2009 and are presently
