Dear Sir

In response to your request under the provisions of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 I referred your questions to the Electoral
Registration Officer (ERO) because the registration of electors is
governed by the Representation of the People Act 1983 as amended. Under
Section 8 of the Act, the council must appoint an officer of the council
to be the registration officer for any constituency or part of a
constituency coterminous with or situated within the council's area.
Although appointed by the council, the ERO's responsibilities and duties
are separate to the function of the local authority.
All election documentation is destroyed 12 months after the election.

For your future reference please refer to the South Bucks District Council
Publication Scheme for details of all currently available published
documents from the following link

I hope this answers your questions but if you feel that it does not, you
can contact me with your queries. You also have the right to request an
internal review of your request and ultimately to complain to the
Information Commissioner should you still be unhappy with the outcome.
You should direct any queries or complaints to me before progressing any
complaint to the Information Commissioner. If you would like more
information about the role and work of the Information Commissioner go to
their website [2]www.ico.gov.uk.

Yours faithfully
