Dear Information Compliance-Officer,

Thank you for your response.

You asked if I "require the Council to locate and put into
electronic format the Notice Poll for 1997?"

That was part of the original request, so yes, please do so. Thank
you.

Yours sincerely,

David Watson

We have already provided a response for Notices of the Poll for 2001

However, I am advised that we changed software in 2001 so anything
before that is no longer available.

If you have any queries about this matter please contact me.

Dear Information Compliance-Officer,

In your response of 19/02/2010 to my original request of
23/01/2010, you stated:

"Please revert to me if you require the Council to locate and put
into electronic format the Notice Poll for 1997?" to which I
responded on the same date that yes, as it formed part of the
original request, I would like to receive that Notice also.

You appear to have interpreted that response as a repeat request
for all three Notices, which it was not.

Today (22/02/2010) you state that "I am advised that we changed
software in 2001 so anything before that is no longer available. "

It is a bit difficult to conceive that such an important document
relating to a United Kingdom Parliamentary election is not
available. Can you please clarify whether it exists at all ? If so,
in what form ?

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

David Watson

Dear Mr Watson

I write further to my email on 22 February 2009.

You asked me to clarify whether the Council holds the Notice Poll for 1997. I am instructed that the Parliamentary Elections file which contained the 1997 Notice Poll was destroyed in accordance with Council policy in 2008. Therefore, the Council do not hold the Notice Poll for 1997.

Please contact me if you have any queries or I can be of further assistance.
