Dear Kevin Cassidy
Thank you for your reply. An arrest record is the details taken
when a person is arrested , ie: name, address, DOB, occupation,
fingerprint's, dna and presumably the alleged offence which are
recorded on the police computer system. Non conviction data is
information retained by the police and other Government agencies
when a person is arrested for an offence but never convicted or the
case was dropped. Essentially what i wish to know is, when a person
has been arrested and charged with a minor offence but was never
convicted for whatever reason how long does it take before no
record of arrest can be traced.
Yours faithfully,
John Anderson
