New Governments Cuts

Dear Mr Farnet,

Thank you for your e-mail about internal documents proposing savings
opportunities to meet new government's cuts.

I am afraid that your request is not one that we can reply to in its
present form. Budged cuts and savings opportunities are discussed
throughout the Council and therefore we would have to ask every staff
member to provide information. It is very likely that the amount of time
it would take to locate and retrieve the information you have requested
would mean that the cost of complying with this request would exceed
£450.

Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act allows public authorities to
refuse requests for information where the cost of dealing with them would
exceed the appropriate limit, which for local government is set at £450.
