National Attendance Management Forum

John McCall made this Freedom of Information request to Home Office

Home Office did not have the information requested.

From: John McCall

10 November 2008

Dear Sir or Madam,

Please tell me what is, or was, the brief or purpose of the
National Attendance Management Forum.

When was the Forum created?

Is it still in existence?

How often does it meet?

Please provide dates of all previous meetings for the years 2004 to
2008 inclusive.

Who attends the Forum? Personal names are not requested - job
titles would be sufficient.

What Minister or Government department does the Forum report to?

Are minutes notes, reports or other outcomes of any meetings
available for public scrutiny?

Yours faithfully,

John McCall

Dear Sir or Madam,

I emailed a request for information under the FOIA and you should
have replied no later than the 9th of December. To date you have
not replied. Would you please therefore conduct an internal review.
To help you expedite a response I have replicated the request
below. However please note that your response is already overdue
and this email should not be taken as a new request:

Dear Mr. Gomes,

Thank you for your prompt response to my FOIA request.

If you would be so kind, can I ask you to try again to locate any
references residing within the Home Office records of the body
named as The National Attendance Management Forum?

To help you, I can direct you to a previous FOIA request, not from
me, the reply to which makes mention of said Forum.

The reference is FOI 3773 - it is available for public viewing on
the Home Office Web site at:

http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/about-us/fr...

You will see there the following:

'There was one survey, which was referred to in the guidance, which
would have been conducted as part of a round the table discussion
at the National Attendance Management Forum. The minutes and
results from these meetings are not published.'

Clearly, there is some recognition of the National Attendance
Management Forum having had some interaction with the Home Office,
though it is unclear what exactly is the relationship between the
Home Office and the Forum.

I hope that a further search might reveal information that may
answer some or all of my initial enquiry.

Your assistance in this matter is very much appreciated.

Yours sincerely,

John McCall
