Dear Ms Whitfield,

Thank you for your emailed FoI request dated 07 July 2008 asking for a
list of all education ministers with names and periods in office since
September 1991. This has been passed to the DCSF Library for a reply.

I enclose a list called Secretaries of State and Ministers in Government
Education Departments since September 1991. The ministers are arranged
in three lists, Secretaries of State with the beginning dates; Ministers
of State with beginning and ending dates and Parliamentary Under
Secretaries of State with beginning and ending dates.

This list is derived from a longer list of all ministers, which I
enclose. September 1991 is mid way through a parliament so I have
included the starting dates of the appopriate ministers.
