Dear Sir or Madam,
Following on from my FOI request of 28 January
2009(http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/mv...),
I would be grateful if you could answer the following questions:
Does the Department hold any correspondence or any other
information, in recorded form, referring, in any way, to the
website http://mv-derbyshire.blogspot.com or to any of the issues
raised/materials published thereon?
If yes, could you please provide us with details and copies of that
information?
Yours faithfully,
Daniela Drysdale

Dear Adam Paine,
Thank you for partly responding to my FOI request of 10 February
2009.
You argue therein that it would be burdensome and time-consuming to
locate and extract all the information held by the Department,
which specifically relates to the issues raised at
http://mv-derbyshire.blogspot.com, because that information, you
then claim, covers a broad range of issues: "everything which
relates to MV Derbyshire in general".
Well, this is, in my view, a rather self-contradictory argument.
The above mentioned website was started on 12 October 2008 (i.e.
five months ago), and includes, so far, only six articles, which
focus on a small number of MV Derbyshire-related issues.
Many other public authorities, including your good selves on a
number of occasions, have complied with similar requests from the
public at no cost and without much excitement.
I would therefore suggest that you could, without much exertion,
check your electronic and paper records on the subject of MV
Derbyshire, from October 2008 onwards, and kindly provide us with
the requested information without further delay and unjustified
cost objections.
(Please also check our reply to the MCA about a similar FOI
request, which gives helpful advice on how to retrieve the
solicited information:

Yours sincerely,
Daniela Drysdale

Dear Dear Mr Woodman,
Thank you for your response to my request for an internal review in
respect of the FOI application above.
Whilst I do not agree with your justification for not releasing the
information, I would still like to take advantage of your declared
willingness to reconsider my request (if I wished to narrow it) and
ask you to provide me with all the information on the MV
Derbyshire, which is NOT concerned "with the organisation and
execution of a half-day event on behalf of the Derbyshire Family
Association (DFA)", and which has been recorded by the Department
since October 2008.
This should be a less onerous task for the DfT since, as you
yourself have advised, the material held by the Department concerns
largely, but not exclusively, that November popularisation event.
Yours sincerely,
Daniela Drysdale
