Mr John Chick (Consul ) and iregular visa application alegations that have been granted in Nepal.
Peter Burke made this Freedom of Information request to Foreign and Commonwealth Office
Waiting for an internal review by Foreign and Commonwealth Office of their handling of this request.
From: Peter Burke
5 October 2009
Dear Sir or Madam,
Could you give me details of Foreign and Commonwealth office
investigations in relation to Mr John Chick and iregular visa
application alegations that have been granted in Nepal.
Details of the alegations which seem to be very detailed and
therefore able to be validated have been posted on a Nepal website
: http://www.mathaba.net/0_index.shtml?x=5...
Mr Chick is now working at the British embassy in Manila The
Philippines and i take these alegations very seriously my wife is
from The Philippines a qualified doctor we have been married for 10
years and initially her UK visa was denied maybe that is because we
did not make an under the table deal with a British embassy fixer
such as Mr Chick.
Yours faithfully,
Peter Burke

Dear Foreign and Commonwealth Office,
One would expect that The Foreign Office ought to reply to this
request either to confirm that it is correct and give full details
of subsequent Foreign Office investigation into the conduct of John
Chick or to deny all of the aledged behaviours which have been
reported.
I would consider that no reply from The Foreign and Commonwealth
Office indicates that the alegations are true.
I would now therefore request an internal review as to why no reply
whatsoever has been made to this request.
Yours faithfully,
Peter Burke

Dear Burke
Thank you for email. Before we can conduct an internal review I need to clarify which of your FOI requests you are referring to. Can you please supply the reference number we issue to applicants when first making the request. The reference number would be in the subject line of acknowledgement letter.
Please note that the UK Border Agency would be the lead government department on visa matters. If your request is about visa related issues then I would recommend that you contact them with this enquiry.
Yours Sincerely
