Most efficient Council in London
Peter Silverman made this Freedom of Information request to Hillingdon Borough Council
Hillingdon Borough Council did not have the information requested.
From: Peter Silverman
26 June 2009
Dear Sir or Madam,
I read in the Leader of 24th June a quotation from Hugh Dunnachie,
Hillingdon's Chief Executive saying:
" We sit at the top of the table as the most efficient council in
London and the eighth best in the country"
However the 2008 Audit Commission’s comprehensive performance
assessments (CPA) of UK council’s published in on 5th March 2009
gives Hillingdon a 2 star rating putting it in the bottom 3 of the
33 London boroughs. Over the country as a whole 80% of councils
performed better than Hillingdon with 3 and 4 star ratings.
Could you please let me have or direct me to the information on
which Mr Dunnachie based his statement.
Yours faithfully,
Peter Silverman
