Dear Marian,
With regard to your request below the mining survey has not yet been
completed as the consultants undertaking the survey have been waiting for
suitable conditions to return after the snow fall in January, which as you
know remained on the Moor for many weeks afterwards, to inspect the areas
that were inaccessible due to drifted snow.
The consultants have scheduled in a return visit in mid-May to complete
the survey and dependant on what is found exactly I anticipate the report
to be finalised by the end of June 2010. As usual the report will be
posted on the Crompton Moor Project webpages on the Councils website and
copies made available to the Crompton Moor User Group Committee.
