The specific information you requested was as follows:

1. The sum in total, if any, spent on licences for or purchase of Microsoft Office software during each of the last two available either financial or calendar years.

2. The amount spent on this software for use in schools.

In response, I can provide the following information:

2007/08 financial year:

Corporate - £154,849.40
Schools/academic - £10,789.07

2009/09 (to February, 2009)

Corporate - £94,335.66
Schools/academic - £11,820.78
