Dear Mr Wynn
Further to my letter of 10th August as you have seen reported in the press on Tuesday the SFO have indicated that they will not be undertaking a criminal investigation. On the same day Lord Mandelson announced his intention to publish the inspectors report into Rover on September 11th, the short delay being necessary to allow key witnesses access to the report in order to prepare themselves for publication. It is intended that on 11th September hard copies of the report will be on sale through the TSO website and electronic access will also be available through the BIS website.
Regards
Colin Evans
