Dear Mr Whitley,
Thank you for your enquiry dated 10 January 2010 requesting details of
which ACPO Chief Officers are or have been members of any fraternal
societies/organisations.
Please accept our apologies for the delay in replying to your request, but
as you may be aware, ACPO are not currently a designated body within
the FOIA, although this is likely to change in October 2011 as ACPO have
voluntered to come under the act and the issue is currently sat with
parliament for further discussion and ratification.

In the meantime, ACPO are committed to trying to deal with requests for
information outside the act, but in respect of your particular question I
am afraid we do not hold this information. My suggestion is that you would
need to contact each force separately to make enquiries as to whether they
in fact hold this information, but there is a strong likelihood that Sec
40 Personal Information may be applied to your request.
I am sorry that we are unable to assist with your enquiry on this
occasion.
Kind regards,
Vicky
