Dear Sir or Madam,
The Grant Memorandum between the Commission for Local
Administration ('CLA') in England and the CLG states:
"While acknowledging the Commissioners= independent responsibility
for determining complaints submitted to them, DETR may initiate
reviews of the CLA's financial management. Such reviews may, in
particular, consider the economy, efficiency and effectiveness of
the CLA's operations. DETR will discuss the terms of reference for
any such reviews in advance with the CLA."
Please provide details of all reviews conducted by the CLG over the
last ten years, and their outcomes.
