Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to request details of all meetings held between DECC
staff and energy industry experts concerning the security of
hydrocarbon supplies to the United Kingdom between July 2008 and
June 25 2009. The request includes meetings held by BERR staff
before responsibility for energy was devolved from that department
to DECC.

I would also like to request details of any meetings held with
industry experts or academics specifically regarding the timing of
the peaking of world oil production and the implications of this
for UK energy security over the same time period.

I am writing about your request for information of 25 June. In that
request, you asked for details of all meetings held between DECC staff and
energy industry experts concerning the security of hydrocarbon supplies to
the UK between July 2008 and 25 June 2009, plus details of meetings on the
peaking of world oil production, and its implications for UK energy
security.

We are unable to proceed with your request without clarification of the
information you wish to receive relating to the first part of your
request. The title of your request states "meetings with experts on
security of oil supplies", but you then ask for information on hydrocarbon
supplies. Can you please confirm that your request just relates to oil
supplies?
