Mr Smith...
What a tangled web you continue to weave!
Isn't it funny that we can't seem to find hardly a single meeting
about the pier that has any documented notes or minutes... I wonder
why that could be?
I do not believe that the Chief Executive of a County Council would
have a meeting with a Member of Parliament and not make a single
note about it.
Therefore, I demand an internal review together with a signed
statement from Mr Byron Davies confirming that he did not make any
notes whatsoever concerning the aforementioned meeting.

Dear Mr Hunt
I write in response to your request for an internal review dated 26th
February 2010.
As a senior member of staff who was not involved in dealing with the
original request I was asked to carry out the internal review.
I have conducted a thorough reconsideration of the decision and handling
of the request together with how the issues were handled and decisions
were made.
As I'm sure you are aware all you are entitled to under FOI is to access
information that we have in our possession.
Following the review I can confirm that there are no transcript, no
written notes and no minutes of the meeting in question held by this
Council
If for whatever reason you are unhappy with the response you are

Dear Mr Owen / Mr Smith,
I repeat,
I demand a signed statement from Mr Byron Davies confirming that he
did not make any notes whatsoever concerning the aforementioned
meeting.
If indeed he did not make any notes etc., I fail to see why he
would not be prepared to make such a statement... whether or not I
am "entitled" to it is irrelevant - I am entitled to information
under the many other FOI requests that you consistently refuse to
comply with - so it is a bit rich to start bleating on about
pretending you can only comply with the letter of the law now isn't
it?.
If Byron Davies is not prepared to even back up his own words in a
signed statement, then it tells the public all they need to know
about him.

Dear Mr Hunt
There is no requirement for the CE to provide a signed statement - all
that anyone is entitled to under FOI is access to information that we
have in our possession. There is no obligation on us to produce anything
further.
I would reiterate following the review I can confirm that there are no
transcript, no written notes and no minutes of the meeting in question
held by this Council
Yours sincerely

So Mr Byron Davies is now on public record as NOT being prepared to
back up his words in writing - how very interesting. Clearly he is
unfit to hold his position.
Whether or not there is a "requirement" is totally irrelevant. CCBC
were "required" BY LAW to tell the truth in Court - but they did
not do so did they?
