Dear Mr Deutsch

Re: Freedom of Information Request- No Strike Deal

Thank you for your freedom of information request of 21 December 2009 about discussions towards reaching a 'no strike deal' between the Mayor's Office and the tube unions, RMT, ASLEF, TSSA and Unite.

There has been no correspondence from the Mayor's Office to the tube unions in relation to discussions towards reaching a 'no strike deal'.

Although the Mayor attends quarterly meetings with SERTUC and met with Steve Hart of Unite in October 2008, all meetings on the subject of a 'no strike deal' have been between Transport for London's Director of Employee Relations and the unions. Therefore, there are no minutes of any meetings between the Mayor's Office and the tube unions, about reaching a 'no strike deal', as no meetings have taken place directly between the parties on this matter.

Thank you again for writing.

Yours sincerely
