Dear Tony

Re: Freedom of Information request - Mayor of Wyre Borough (Our Ref:
RQ00486)

Wyre Borough Council holds some of the information you require.

Attached is an excel spreadsheet extract from the Council's Financial
system of the aggregate transactions in each of the three requested years
in regard to the Civic and Ceremonial Cost Centre 2003. This includes the
Mayor and other Mayoralty costs including Support Service allocations.
This information is all we have.

Without wanting to sound unhelpful, you are at liberty to interpret the
attached facts in which ever way suits your purpose. My colleague in the
council's finance department who supplied these figures wanted me to pass
on his comments to you, which I quote as follows: -

'..As is usual with Support Service allocations if the Mayoral Service was
to end it is not the case that all the Support Service allocations will be
saved to the Council, as some will be reallocated to other Services as
they would still be incurred eg the Democratic Services recharge includes
an element for Office accommodation. That office cost would still be
incurred.'
