Dear Johnnie Shannon

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 - Maps, Map procurement and Ordnance
Survey

Your request for information has now been considered and the
information that we hold is shown below.

a) The sum in total, if any, spent on maps, map procurement, processing
and distribution on-line and in paper form during either financial or
calendar year 2006.

Financial Year 2006 / 07 is £68,521.60

b) The proportion or absolute amount, if any, of the sum (a) spent on
licences or other fees to Ordnance Survey.

Financial Year 2006 / 07 is £58,304.43

This does not include any distribution or processing due to the
difficulty in trying to quantify it. However it does include software
for processing, licences and fees.

c) The proportion or absolute amount, if any, of the sum (a) which was
paid for by council tax.

The information is not held. Leicester City Council’s total gross
expenditure is funded through three sources: Revenue Support Grant,
National Non-Domestic Rates, and Council Tax. Leicester City Council
does not break down what proportion of each goes towards which services,
and therefore it is not possible to state what percentage of Council tax
is used to fund expenditure for specific services.

d) The proportion or absolute amount, if any, of the sum ( c ) broken
down in to council tax house bands on a per-household basis.

request.
