Dear Sir or Madam,

Please can you tell me the amount of diabetic patients aged 75 and
over that are treated within Hackney and City PCT.
Also I would like to know the number of major lower limb
amputations (foot or leg) that have taken place of diabetics aged
over 75 or over within a Hackney and City PCT hospital for each of
the last four years.

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request concerning major lower
limb amputations for diabetics over the age of 75

The Trust can provide the following information:-

There are 1855 people aged 75+ registered with a City and Hackney GP
Practice as having been diagnosed with diabetes

Only one major lower limb amputation has taken place over the last four
years in a Hackney and City PCT hospital due to diabetics over the age
of 75
