Freedom of Information Request - M4 Bus Lane

I refer to your request under the above legislation for information
about Penalty Charge Notices issued to drivers in the M4 bus lane.

I am writing to advise you that, having reviewed your request for
information, we have identified that this could be more appropriately be
responded to by the Metropolitan Police and have forwarded your request

The Highways Agency has asked me to send you some information in regard to
the number of fix penalty tickets issued for vehicles incorrectly using
the M4 bus lane since 1st January 2008.

The Highways Agency do not have access to that information, which is held
at the Metropolitan Polices central traffic administration centre in
Sidcup. I have asked for the information you require, and I can confirm
that since 1st January 2008 there have been 20 fixed penalty notices
issued.
