Dear Bassetlaw District Council,
Please provide me with a list of items and the value of the
individual items that have been reported as lost, stolen, misplaced
or missing by any member of staff or person working on behalf of
the Council in the last four calendar years or discovered missing
when taking inventory. I set a lower limit of £25 per individual
item WITH THE EXCLUSION of data storage devices or media, including
optical storage, for which I set NO lower limit.
I would like you to identify what type of information was held or
believed to be held on any data storage device or media on your
list. For simplicity the following descriptors will suffice for the
purposes of this particular request.
"personal", "sensitive personal", "financial" or "other"
Should you consider any of the information you hold in relation to
my request exempt I ask you to provide a full explanation of your
public interest argument.
This information is to be provided electronically to me.
If you consider this request to exceed the £450 fee limit please
start with the most current year, January to December 2009, and
work backwards until the limit is met.

Re: Freedom of Information Act 2000 - Request for Information
I refer to your email of 2nd Mar 2010 and I note that your letter is a
request pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act and in the
circumstances I can advise you as follows:
a) The Council has a duty to confirm or deny that it holds recorded
information that an applicant seeks from it and a duty to supply the
information requested, subject to any exemption that may apply.
b) However, under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act
2000 the right of access is to the information and not the documents.
The answer to your questions are detailed below:
1. Bassetlaw District Council has not had any lost or stolen items in
the last 4 years.
