Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like to know,
a) how many findings of maladministration the local government
ombudsman has made against your council over the last 10 years.
b) how many findings of maladministration your council, either in
full or in part, has refused to accept.
c) how many findings of maladministration your council has accepted
but refused to comply, either in full or in part, with the local

Dear Mrs Johnson,
Thank you for your recent enquiry.
The data we hold for Ombudsman complaints goes back to the financial year 2001/2002. Since this time there have been a total of five cases when the Ombudsman has cited findings of maladministration.
In no case have City of York Council refused to accept the findings, nor have we ever refused to comply with the recommended remedies from the Ombudsman.
Once again I apologise for the delay in replying.
Kind regards,
Yours sincerely,
F Weeks
