Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like to know,
a) how many findings of maladministration the local government
ombudsman has made against your council over the last 10 years.
b) how many findings of maladministration your council, either in
full or in part, has refused to accept.
c) how many findings of maladministration your council has accepted
but refused to comply, either in full or in part, with the local
government ombudsman's recommended remedy.
Yours faithfully,
A Johnson (Mrs)

Dear Mrs Johnson I am writing in reply to your request dated 24
August 2008.
I am now able to provide the information requested and can confirm
that there has been one finding of maladministration by the Local
Government Ombudsman in the past 10 years against the Council. In
this case the Council accepted the Ombudsman’s findings in full and
complied accordingly.
I trust the above response will meet your purposes but if, for
whatever reason you wish to get back to me, please feel free to do
so. In particular if you are unhappy with the information provided
or how your request was handled please make contact and I will
explain how you can make a complaint either to the Council or to
the Information Commissioner.
