full or in part, has refused to accept.

c) how many findings of maladministration your council has accepted
but refused to comply, either in full or in part, with the local
government ombudsman's recommended remedy.

Further to your e-mail in respect of a Freedom of Information request regarding the Local Government Ombudsman, the Council replies as follows:

The Council has retained information on Local Government Ombudsman maladministration for the period 2004/5, 2005/6, 2006/7 and 2007/8.

2004/5 Two cases settled locally
Costs £1,000 and £250

2005/6 Four cases settled locally
Costs £500 x 3

2006/7 1 case settled locally
No compensation

2007/8 No cases against the Council

There are no cases where the Council has refused to comply with the Local Government Ombudsman's recommendations.
