Dear Mrs Thompson,
FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 - INFORMATION REQUEST.
FOI538 - Local Government Ombudsman decisions.
Your request for information has now been considered.
Regretfully, the manual record book containing the details of such
cases over the few years went missing in January 2008 and despite
lengthy searches it has not been found. The Council therefore do not
hold the information you have requested for the period requested before
this date, but does have the Ombudsman's Annual Letter 2007/08 which
contains details of decisions between 2005 and 2008 (copy attached)
during which time there were no findings of maladministration against
this Council.
Since April 2008 to date there have been 30 referrals from the
Ombudsman with one finding of maladministration which the Council has
refused to accept.
In these circumstances I would recommend that if you require any
further information you address your request to the Local Government
Ombudsman Advice Team, PO Box 4771, Coventry, CV4 OEH, on 0845 602 1983
who I am sure will supply the information that you require.
Further information is available from the Information Commissioner at:
Information Commissioner's Office
