Dear Mrs Anderson

I refer to your request for information on 24/8/08 under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. I have been conducting an internal review of your
case as to why it has not been responded to despite your pursuance of the
request.

It would appear that when you emailed the request on 24/8/08 this is made
to a generic email account which will automatically generate an
acknowledgement of your request. I am trying to establish what the team
who are responsible for managing this data did with the original request.
You chased the matter up again on 27/9/08 this time the request was
forwarded to the Information Team, they responded on 29/9/08 asking for a
copy of request as they were unable to find original request, you
subsequently responded the same date and provided relevant information.
You contacted us again on 24/12/08 as you still hadn't received a
response, I confirm that your request has now been passed to the
department responsible for providing this data and will look to get the
information to you as soon as possible.

I have outlined the chain of events regarding your request and I would
like to identify the causes of those problems and what steps we have taken
to resolve.

First issue was how the authority dealt with the original request in
August, to date I have been unable to identify where this was passed to
for response, as a result any request for information sent to Liverpool
Direct they have now been instructed to forward this to the Information
Team to ensure the request is logged and dealt with in the statutory
timescales. When you pursued the request again in September this time the
request did reach the Information Team however the person dealing with the
request was only a temporary secondment to the team and it would appear
that this never got passed over as an outstanding piece of work. As a
result we now have an established team to deal with issues such as this to
prevent such reoccurrences. As an additional precautionary measure we
track all requests made via the `whatdotheyknow' website direct to the
Information Team.

I do apologise for the unnecessary delay and inconvenience you have been
caused over this request, but do thank you for your continued patience
with the council.

Regards

Andrea Glanville
