b) how many findings of maladministration your council, either in
full or in part, has refused to accept.

c) how many findings of maladministration your council has accepted
but refused to comply, either in full or in part, with the local
government ombudsman's recommended remedy.

I refer to your FOI request regarding the above. I'm assuming (by virtue of the 2nd and 3rd questions) that you're asking about 'maladministration causing injustice' findings rather than instances where some maladministration may have occurred but no injustice arose since in those cases there may not be an ombudsman report to consider.

The answers to your questions are: a) There has been one finding of maladministration with injustice in the last ten years. This was published on 14 December 2006 and the complaint number was 05/C/15424. The report was submitted to Cabinet at a meeting held on 3/1/2007 and is available in the local democracy section of the Council's website.

b) Neither Cabinet or the Council formally recorded that it agreed or disagreed with the findings however

c) The Council agreed to implement all of the proposed remedies and was commended by the Ombudsman for its prompt action.
