Dear Mrs Johnson

Thank you for your recent Freedom of Information request which has been
passed to me to deal with.

I have now had the opportunity to liaise with my colleagues responsible
for administering the Corporate Complaints system and they advise as
follows:-

a) how many findings of maladministration the local government ombudsman
has made against your council over the last 10 years.

The Council's document retention policy in relation to Local Government
Ombudsman complaints is 3 years and, therefore, I can only give you the
information as it relates to 2005/06 to date. During this period, the
Council has had one finding of maladministration made against it (in
2005/06). I confirm that the Council accepted and complied fully with the
Ombudsman's findings and remedy in this case.

b) how many findings of maladministration your council, either in full or
in part, has refused to accept.

Nil

c) how many findings of maladministration your council has accepted but
refused to comply, either in full or in part, with the local government
ombudsman's recommended remedy.

Nil

I trust this deals with your request satisfactorily.

Kind regards

Sue
