Tom Betts made this Freedom of Information request to Bristol City Council

Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like to make a request as regards subsidy of local bus
services in your authority under the terms of Freedom of
Information Act.
Please can you tell me the total amount of subsidy paid to local
bus operators in 2007/08 for the operation of Council Supported bus
services? This information should be broken down by bus operator,
in order that it is possible to see exactly how much each operator
received. Additionally, please can you inform me of the total
number of passengers transported using council supported services
during the same time period. This should also be broken down by bus
operator, in order that the financial figures can be compared to
the volume of customers carried.
Yours faithfully,
Tom Betts
