Dear Homes for Islington,
Please provide a list of Tenant and resident associations (TRAs)
recognised by Homes for Islington. For each TRA please include
following information:
The name and approximate address of the estates/blocks/buildings
that are represented.
Contact details ( email address and/or website if it exists).
Time and location details of regular meetings.
Some parts of this request may be easier to answer than others, and
should this prove to be the case I would ask that you release
available data as soon as possible rather than hold up the entire
request.
I would prefer to receive this information electronically. If the
decision is made to withhold some of this data using exemptions in
Act, please inform me of that fact and cite the exemptions used.
If you need any clarification then please contact me via this
service. Under your section 16 duty to provide advice and
assistance I would expect you to contact me if you find this
request unmanageable in any way.
I would be grateful if you could confirm that you have received
this request, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
P. George

Dear Mr George
FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000: REQUEST 302205
Your request for information has now been considered and the response is
as follows:
The attached document contains a list of all TRAs currently recognised by
Homes for Islington. Also given is the Council ward in which the TRA
operates, approximate post code area, the estate / blocks that the TRA
represents and, where possible, the TRA website or email address.
<<FOI TRA.doc>>
Where a TRA does not have a generic email address we are unable to give
contact details, as this would constitute an infringement of the Data
Protection Act. This is due to the fact that the contact details for a TRA
are, at present, also the private contact details of individual HFI
residents. We are currently trying to address this issue and are
investigating the possibility of providing each TRA with a free email
address and web page. By doing this it will mean that each TRA has some
form of contact address that can be shared in the public domain.
Finally, we are unable to provide details of the times and locations of
each TRA's regular meetings as we do not hold this information. Other than
Annual or Biennial General Meetings, TRA meetings are a matter entirely
for the TRA itself and HFI do not collect or monitor information regarding
these.
If you have any queries with regard to the information supplied, please
contact me. If you have a complaint about the handling of your enquiry
then please contact Jeremy Tuck, Chief Information Officer at Technology
Solutions Group, 60 Highbury New Park, London N5 2DJ. Alternatively please
email: [1][email address].
