Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000.

I would like to request a complete list of suppliers/contractors
and consultants that have been used over the past year when
procuring I.t hardware and the total spend on i.t hardware during
the past year. Also could you break this hardware spend down to
show what brand servers, networking and desktop hardware were
purchased with a spend amount in each segment.

I would also like to request full details of the person(s) who
conduct the i.t purchasing there.

I am able to advise that the details are as follows:-

Suppliers and Consultants Used by the Council for the supply of IT hardware: Alpha Business Computers Limited and Envision Technologies Limited

Hardware brands: PCs: was HP have moved to DELL during last 18 months; Laptops: Toshiba; Servers: HP

Spend over last two years (excluding schools): PCs/Laptops: £1.284m; Servers £0.538m (includes NetApp SAN)

IT Procurement is undertaken by the corporate procurement team in conjunction with the Head of IT - [email address]
