Dear Mr Woodley,
Further to your FOI request below may I first apologise for the delay in replying.
You have asked for details of commercial properties not receiving Small Business Relief with a rateable value up to £12,000 - which is the new limit for the 2010 Rating List.
My Council has not yet applied the new 2010 Rating List to our NNDR system and so I am not yet able to supply the precise information you have requested.
Instead however, the attached list identifies those potential commercial properties not presently receiving the relief in accordance with the 2005 Rating List and therefore current RV limit of £10,000. In addition, in the 4th column, the draft 2010 Rateable Value is also supplied.
The information given relates to limited companies or similar organisations only as the Data Protection Act prevents me from providing you with information about individuals without their permission.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of this response, an independent senior officer will review this decision. Please let me know if you would like to arrange this.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner, who is the regulator for Freedom of Information. His website is www.informationcommissioner.gov.uk, and his helpline number is 01625 545745. His staff may ask you to exhaust our internal complaints procedure if you choose to complain to his office now.
