Re: List of commercial properties not receiving small business rate
relief

Please can you provide me with the following information under the
Freedom Of Information Act 2000:-

(a) addresses and rateable values of Commercial properties that are
within your District Council up to a rateable value of £12,000 who
are eligible for, but not currently receiving small business rate
relief; and

(b) the names of the owners of those properties referred to in (a)

Please find accompanying a spreadsheet with the following information on
it

Address & RV details of all properties with 2005 List RV below £12,000
whose listed occupants are not currently in receipt of the Small Business
Rates Relief.

As qualification of the relief is from a two-stage test, all the
properties listed fulfill the property qualifications stage, but the
actual occupiers would have to fit the applicant criteria as well. Empty
premises would not qualify for the relief; further, premises occupied as
part of a chain of linked businesses would probably not qualify either.

Unfortunately, I cannot generate a listing of the landlord/owners, though
all private individuals would have had their names redacted from the
listing to protect their right to privacy in any case.
