Re: List of commercial properties not receiving small business rate
relief

In your request on 2nd January you requested the following information

(a) addresses and rateable values of Commercial properties that are
within your District Council up to a rateable value of £12,000 who are
eligible for, but not currently receiving small business rate relief; and

(b) the names of the owners of those properties referred to in (a)

I can confirm that the Council does hold data in connection with
properties where small business rate relief has not been applied and this
data has been extracted in a raw format.

Having looked through a list of raw data I regret that I am unable to
provide the information that you have requested. In order for a ratepayer
to be eligible for the relief I would need to know whether they occupied
any other properties outside the Bradford area and unfortunately I do
not have access to this information and am therefore unable to ascertain
who would be eligible for the relief from the list we hold.

In addition to this the list of raw data contains properties which are
occupied and empty and is unable to be separated between limited companies
and individuals. I unable to provide details of individuals for this type
of request and therefore to edit the list would be a manual task and take
longer than the prescribed eighteen hours.

Please accept my apologies for the delay in coming back to you regarding your amended request.

I am unable to extract the information in relation to company names as the software we use does not differentiate between companies and individuals. The best I can provide is a list of property addresses along with rateable values of those not in receipt of small business rate relief.

If this is acceptable to you I will be able to send it by return.
