Dear Sir or Madam,
Can you tell me what the consequences would be if one of your
personnel who works for jncc has with no evidence but continuously
told lies and tried to influence other government departments with
this slander. What would be the consequences of such unacceptable
behaviour of a person in a very influential positions .Also does
jncc condone such behaviour of its staff and is this type of
behaviour common in this government department?
Yours faithfully,
Mark Robb

Dear Mr Robb
Ref: 0910_11
The internal review of the handling of your request for information about
staff conduct in JNCC has been completed.
The review was conducted by the Evidence Manager who is unconnected with
either JNCC's Business Unit or Personnel team which were directly involved
in handling your request.
The appeal for internal review received by JNCC on 11^th July 2009 did not
state the reason for appeal and, despite a request for further information
from you on 22^nd July, no further clarification of has yet been received
by JNCC.
The conclusions of the reviewer were as follows:
The request was correctly handled under the Freedom of Information Act,
although the request does not specifically ask for recorded information.
The response was made within the required response time.
The information requested appears to fall into three parts:
1. What the consequences of a JNCC staff member lying would be;
2. What the JNCC attitude to lying is;
3. Whether lying is common in JNCC.
All information held by JNCC of relevance to these questions was provided
as follows:
. Part 1 is covered by the `Disciplinary procedures' attachment;
and
. Part 2 is covered by the `Code of Conduct' attachment.
No information is held which would cover part 3 but no explanation was
given for this.
Accordingly:
. in relation to your request for information `whether lying is
common in JNCC' we advise you that JNCC does not hold any information that
answers this question.
I hope this information is helpful. However, if you are still not content
with the handling of your request you may write to the:
Information Commissioner's Office
Wycliffe House
Water Lane
Wilmslow
Cheshire
SK9 5AF
Yours Sincerely
Sue McQueen
