Thank you for your email of 15^th March 2009 requesting information
about Library fines collected by the University. I am pleased to enclose
the requested information.
Total amount received in fines by the University of Liverpool Library
2007/2008
£106,059.93
Total amount received in fines by the University of Liverpool Library to
date for 2008/09
£58,334.54
Fines income is included in the Library’s baseline budget and is
allocated for the acquisition of non-recurrent material, in particular
undergraduate texts and research monographs.
If you are not satisfied with the University’s response to your request,
you may ask the University to review it. If you wish to do this, please
write to Mr. Kevan Ryan, Director of Legal Services, The University of
Liverpool, The Foundation Building, 765 Brownlow Hill, Liverpool, L69 7ZX,
enclosing a copy of your original request and explaining your complaint.
