Thank you for your FOI request.
There have been no decisions made yet in respect of the Library
multi-storey car park. The car park is let to and controlled by The Mall
Partnership whose lease from the Council dictates that they have
responsibility for the car park and its structure.
In respect of the area between Guildford Street and the Arndale Mall
shopping centre no decisions have been made by the Council. The planning
application made in December 2007 by The Mall Partnership has not been
determined by the Planning Committee yet.
I hope this answers your enquiry but if you are unhappy with our
response, please write to me, Rosemary Stipta, Corporate Information
Officer at Town Hall, Luton, Beds, LU1 2BQ, so that I can arrange
further investigation. If you remain unhappy after the conclusion of
the Council's internal complaints procedure, you may apply to the
information Commissioner, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, SK9 5AF
