During the last five years how many times has the Local Government
Ombudsman (as a result of investigating a complaint against
Chichester District Council) brought to the attention of the
council the fact that a member of Chichester District Council staff
had misled them, lied to them or done anything else to hinder their
investigation. If they have what disciplinary action was taken
against the individual(s) concerned by the council.

Dear Mr Nunn

The Local Government Ombudsman (LGO) has never brought to the Council's
attention(as a result of investigating a complaint against it) the fact
that a member of its staff had misled them, lied to them or done anything
else to hinder their investigation and therefore no disciplinary has been
taken.

Each year the LGO writes a letter to the Council with its findings. The
letter can be viewed on our website.
