Dear Sir or Madam,

During the last five years how many times has the Local Government
Ombudsman (as a result of investigating a complaint against Chester
le Street District Council) brought to the attention of the council
the fact that a member of Chester le Street District Council staff
had misled them, lied to them or done anything else to hinder their
investigation. If they have what disciplinary action was taken
against the individual(s) concerned by the council.

During the last 5 years, no investigation / report from the Ombudsman
has identified any officer of the council who has misled, lied or
hindered the investigation. As such no action has been taken.

Our complaints system has been identified as good practice during the
same period and we have had only one ombudsman report against the
council during the 5 year period.
